June 25, 2010 Reviews, Trimmers
I had the opportunity to test and review the Norelco Perfect Stubble Trimmer. I can say without a doubt that I do not look good with just stubble. I don’t have a chiseled jaw required for that stubble look. However, I do have a goatee and I do need to trim it all the time and I do like how the Perfect Stubble Trimmer has the ability to trim with 9 different settings. I do like to experiment with different lengths of my goatee.
The trimmer has a flexible contour following guide comb. This allows you to have the perfect length trim all the time and the trimmer blade only touch the hairs not your skin. The trimmer also locks in place as you turn the zoomring which moves the trimmer through 9 integrated length settings from 1.5-18mm.
I’ve highlighted many of the features of the Perfect Stubble Trimmer in my recent Whrrl about my purchase of the shaver.
Important Specs:
Price: $39.44
Battery: 10 hour charge time for up to 35 minutes of cordless trimming.
Accessories: Flexible Guide Comb, Cleaning Brush
Shaving System: Maintenance Free blades, Steelwave technology, stronger than titanium
Contour-following: 1 flexible Contour following Guide Comb.
Final Impression: While this is a decent trimmer I don’t like the soft feel of it and little hairs get stuck to the rubberized zoomring. If you are looking to have a nice trimmer for both stubble and trimming facial hair like goatees, beards and sideburns I’d go for the Norelco T980 Vacuum Beard Trimmer, it is neater, and has more options.
That being said, this trimmer does a good job trimming, the integrated contour following guide comb works great. The shaver is sharp and cuts really well. Being able to adjust from lengths of 1.5-18mm is also a great feature especially if you are like me and enjoy playing with the length of your goatee to see what looks best.
I received reimbursement for the purchase of this Norelco Perfect Stubble Trimmer. The opinions are 100% mine.
